Board Member Election Procedures

According to Article VII, Section 9, and Part A of the bylaws of the Marygrove Community Association, a special Elections Committee has been created. The Election Committee comprises the current members of the Marygrove Community Association Board of Directors.

The procedures for electing members to the Marygrove Community Association Board of Directors are:

  1. All prospective MCA board members must complete the board member application.

  2. The Elections Committee will review applications and select candidates for the board membership slate based on fit, compatibility, and alignment with the Marygrove Community Association mission and purpose and the skills and expertise needed by the Marygrove Community Association Board of Directors.

  3. The application for members selected to be on the board member candidate slate will be emailed to eligible voting members or posted to this webpage. Personal information will be redacted for review before the election.

  4. Board member’s names appear on the ballot as a slate to be voted on at the Annual Meeting.

  5. Only paid members of the Marygrove Community Association are eligible to vote.

  6. A vote will be made by secret ballot at the Annual Meeting. There is one vote per member household or organization.

Board member terms are staggered by seat class with different term expirations to ensure board continuity.
